I'm not sure if I've mellowed

But I HAVE gotten over the "anger" of being deceived for most of my life.

I now see religion as an almost necessary part of the human operating system. If it isn't religion, it would be something else but there seems to be a need for fanatical faith in something ....... in order to keep people ambitious and working their buns off to "achieve" something which is seemingly eternally valuable.
