Here's a secret -- that is now no longer a secret, since I'm spilling it on the internet, but whatever...
I fell into a red ant colony when I was about four years old and got swarmed. So now I am terrified of anything with more than 4 legs. That means, I can't even stand to look at shellfish, let alone genuine creepy crawly things with jointed legs, antennae, and nasty carapace exoskeleton ickiness. Makes my skin feel all crawly just thinking about it. *shudder*
