That's a positive sign. I was hoping he'd do that sort of thing.
Politics isn't straight forward by any means and he has to be very careful about playing his cards carefully.
While he SAID that America would put all of this behind them and start on a new slate, my hope was that quietly, he will allow the legal process to run its due course. That way, he plays no part in either exposing or blocking justice. Just let the chips fall where they may.
Releasing these memos is a good sign.
It seemed to me too, that Bush was really sucking up to Obama in his last days, having nothing but good things to say about him. I'm guessing Bush is scared and hoped to win sympathy and good will from Obama in return.
