Probably as close as I'll ever get!~ Thanks for the lookup.
Seems that I'm -for sure- a victim of conflation. I was SO SURE Samuel (the ghost) had said something directly to Saul along those lines but it's no longer "there". I must have made a mental connection in my mind at some point, which was powerful enough to change my perception of reality.
Here are the exact words which ring in my mind's remembrance:
Why seek ye the living among the dead? Let the dead bury their dead.
And, of course, that is just even MORE conflation!
I must have been eating puffed wheat at the time....
Ah .......... or maybe I looked up several cross references! That must be it.
