You are lots of fun! =) And one of the most level-headed characters I've met on the net. Kind of like...Chef, in South Park. Or at least, the way Chef used to be before Isaac Hayes let the Church of Scientology rot his brain and they had to kill the Chef character and get him off the show...
Yeah, life keeps me busy. I will be a wage slave until I can retire or until I become a famous author. Looks like retirement will likely win that race. My kids alternately worry the hell out of me, then make me proud -- guess that's pretty normal for the whole parenting game.
My personal studies go in cycles...religion is always somewhere in the mix, though. I don't have the same heart or stomach for debate that I used to. Particularly with some folks (like that paranoid megalomaniac with the scatological obsession, or our friendly neighborhood sociopath), it's so pointless. When they have serious mental health issues like that, I dunno...I walk away from discussions with the vague feeling like I've just cruelly teased a dog. But, I do also see the importance of pointing out that the emperor has no clothes for the benefit of the studio audience. If no one ever takes these guys to task, then unfortunately some people will listen to them -- some will even hang on to every word they say. After all, SOMEBODY keeps giving money to guys like Benny Hinn and Robert Tilton. And sometimes you gotta poke a stick through the fence to show the other kids in the neighborhood how vicious and untrustworthy that dog really is -- hopefully at least some of them will observe and choose to walk on the other side of the street.
I just reread that last paragraph. Holy cow, was that cryptic enough for you? LOL
