Kidsave International is one of two or three groups who bring older orphaned and abandoned kids from Russian-speaking countries to the DC are for summer programs. While the kids are here, Kidsave sponsored weekly get-togethers for current, prospective, and past host and adoptive families. This is a great opportunity for your daughter to make some connections with other Russian-speaking kids her age. I think Cradle of Hope's Bridge of Hope program also brings Russian-speaking kids to the DC area, but I don't know a lot about their program.
