Posted by Stephanie on 8/14/2002, 12:00 am Hey everyone! Sorry not many updates to the site, but I was away seeing LIVE and am now recuperating and trying to make a review of the whole weekend. I'll start with saying I had a blast. I met so many beautiful, wonderful ppl that I never wanted it to end. It feels weird now being home and being alone in my room and away from everyone. To all the great ppl I am talking about: I love you with all my heart! When you are seeing shows with all these great other fans you feel like family. It's just a beautiful thing. Anyway, on to the shows.... 8/9/02-Bethlehem, PA: This was the best night of my life so far. The set may not have been the best and the crowd kinda sucked and didn't seem too into it, but in my personal view of the evening I had the time of my life. It was a family-oriented evening. Everyone was there. And I finally got to meet Pat's mom who is absolutely the sweetest! We got to watch the show with her. It was so much fun. I'm not gonna go into the setlist cuz there really isn't anything new. Unfortunately no new songs were played. LIVE had tremendous energy but, as I said, the crowd sucked. The highlight of the night was they played "Pillar of Davidson"!!!!!!! I am in Heaven now! It was the most beautiful thing I ever heard in my entire life. "Overcome" was on the setlist but they didn't play it b/c the crowd was already leaving after they played "I Alone". Well, I can go on and on about this night but......... 8/10/02-Baltimore, MD: Boy, the Harbor is beautiful. Great place for a concert. I was awfully tired and not as excited about things as I should've been. Hehe. But anyway, it was a great show. This was the best crowd of the whole weekend. Definately into it...even standing up on the chairs! LOL and roaring cheers. Ed's voice seemed a little cracky like he had a cold or something and the sound wasn't very good....but my gods! the energy was tremendous! They played "Turn My Head" instead of POD. In a way I was happy cuz I was afraid I'd cry if they did. Teehee. I did cry during "Run to the Water". It was emotional and beautiful. They played "Overcome" and at the end the whole band came out for a bow. The band looked so happy. Hehe and as they were leaving the stage Pat grabbed the mic and said "Bob Marley!" into it. LOL. 8/11/02-Wilmington, DE: I have to say I'm not too fond of venues where beer and crap seem like the main attraction, but oh well. This was another energetic show. They also played "Turn My Head" instead of POD again and must've liked the crowd cuz they played "Overcome". During "I Alone" Ed started singing System of a Down's "Aerials". I loved that!! (Cuz SOAD is one of my fave bands). The crowd for this show was HUGE! What is breathtaking is looking out at the crowd from a stage point-of-view. I don't think there's even words to describe that, and watching the crowd reacting to the music. ----- Simple Creed
Well, that's all I can think of for now. I don't think my mind is fully back. Here is a copy of the band's setlist (tho I made some spelling changes hehe. They're still calling "Shit Towne" "Shit House" LOL:
