It seems "Anyone for Doomsday?" was doomed from the start. On the eve of it's fated release, the lead singer pulled the plug on the production and shelved the CD away from this anticipating world (Most likely in a dusty, cobwebbed cabinet.) Such a pity considering that it is actually better then their platinum CD, "Tonight! The Star's Revolt!"
"Anyone for Doomsday?" will forever be a forgotten (and doomed?) relic in the history of Powerman 5000...or NOT!! Yes, this rare CD can be owned by YOU, covetous internet wanderer, and you too can secretly snicker at the poor, pathetic PM5 fans who dream of having this CD but don't have it... All you have to do is follow my idiotically easy instructions on where to find this CD for not-so-idiotically cheap prices.
iTunes is selling this CD amongst almost all of the Powerman 5000 CD's for the amazing price of $9.99. Or, if you only want certain songs, then it's 99 cents per track. Just go on to www.apple.com, download the latest updated version of iTunes and create an account. Then, buy an iTunes gift-card and download your CD. Don't worry if you're stuck with an outdated portable CD player, you will have the option to burn songs onto a CD-ROM.
There are rumors that copies of "Anyone for Doomsday?" show up at Best-Buy as an imported CD every few years. Very lovely if you want the CD case and lyrics book but the price of $29.99 is not so lovely.
The CD complete with the case and lyrics book can also be found www.amazon.com for $9.99 with the cost of shipping. There are several copies that have one bonus track for various prices. Don't be stupid and buy copies off of one of the sellers for $120.00. It's an excellent CD and all but I would hope to god you're not THAT obsessed (and $120.00 for that CD is the latest scam of the century.)
eBay is also selling "Anyone for Doomsday" for pretty reasonable prices. Beware of the seller that thinks they can get away with selling burned copies of the actual CD. God, if I could do that without any legal issues then I'd jack the price up to $50.00 and become filthy rich. Unfortunately, I believe it's illegal to pull a stunt like that and I'm not THAT cruel.
"Anyone for Doomsday?" can also be found as a download on one website for $9.99 but I forget the site's name, very helpful...yes I know.
Since this is such a rare CD, there are not many legit copies that are sold in stores, it would be pure luck to find one without looking online.
Have fun jamming to your new CD, internet traveler, it's been a pleasure indulging your wildest desire. This is Khaos-X-Revolution (Kat) signing off.
