Sorry for setting the broadcast into two parts but I was not allowed to post such a long message.
Anyone for Doomsday?
Seemingly doomed from the start, "Anyone for Doomsday?" would have launched the band into ultra-stardom and would've made them the most revered rock-stars of 2001, but the CD was scrapped two-weeks prior to it's release date, an action that disappointed thousands of PM5 fans worldwide. Shelved because it resembled their previous CD too much, "Anyone for Doomsday?" is a lost and forgotten CD that most PM5 fans would love to own. It is currently sold on iTunes, eBay and at www.amazon.com. While it does some-what resemble the previous CD, it could possibly be better than "Tonight! The Stars Revolt" it is a must-have, necessary-buy for any collection.
[track list]
#1. Disease of Machinery (4/5. A tangled intro filled with robotic ramblings and a person at the end proclaiming his disbelief in the theory of a disease of machinery.)
#2. Danger is Go! (5/5. First full song on the CD. It is chaotic and violent with great electronic and voice effects. Definitely one of the best songs on the CD.)
#3. Bombshell (5/5. First and only single on the CD. Very catchy chorus and melody and the robotic intro isn't half-bad either.)
#4. Meaning of Life (4/5. Bizarre song with slightly too much repetition. Is still decent, however.
#5. Tomorrow is Yesterday (5/5. Possibly the best song and a personal favorite. The guitar and techno effects are excellent and with an addictive chorus.)
#6. End of Everything (5/5. Fast song with a nice groove that you can dance to and never become tired of. Awesome intro, interesting lyrics and great special effects.)
#7. What the World Does (5/5. Extremely fast and short song with a violent chorus.)
#8. 177-TR? (2/5. Filler if anything.)
#9. The One and Only (5/5. A definite candidate for being one of the best songs. The chorus itself is not that memorable compared to the rest of the song and the awesome guitar solo at the end.)
#10. Wake Up! (5/5. Remotely sounds like a song that could possibly play on an alarm clock. Excellent intro, great and slightly amusing chorus and yet another awesome guitar solo.
#11. Rise (3/5. A decent song but the original version makes the album version seem mediocre. Once again, a glimpse into the previous genre that the band dabbled in.)
#12. Megatronic (5/5. The most electronic-sounding song the CD, although difficult to comprehend at points.)
#13: The Future That Never Was (5/5. An EXTREMELY slow song that has a definite dark melancholic undertone. Thought-provoking lyrics and intro.)
Overall Favorites: Danger is Go!, Bombshell, Tomorrow is Yesterday, End of Everything, The One and Only, Wake Up!, Megatronic, What the World Does and The Future That Never Was.
(Think the price of $89.99 is outrageous? Limited Editions of the CD with one (keyword: one) bonus track are being so for $399.99. That's one helluva lot of pennies!)
In other non-important news, a neon pink limousine with the tacky phrase (Party Girls On the Go!) plastered onto the front has been sighted around local shopping and strip mall plazas. If you are located in the vicinity of this pink monstrosity, panic and seek immediate shelter as the shade of pink is so bright and ugly that it can render an innocent civilian blind within seconds and the teenage girls carrying over-sized, namebrand shopping bags that congregate in and around the car are extremely lethal and must be avoided at all costs.
