Yes, I remember the MCSA '73' and I seem to remember the last racer was a gal, but cannot get her name. I have made my way from Idaho (came here in 74) to the oceans quite a few times. Now, I have a Canadian cruising license and enjoy charters whenever I can. But, like you, I don't get out near enough for my liking. Great to hear from you.
