Posted by Simon Byrne I'm not sure whinge is the right word but certainly there are a fair number of kiwis who cannot accept the All Blacks can ever be beaten fairly. The office where I work was like a morgue the Monday after the loss to the french. Regarding the loss to the french firstly (apparently) it was Wayne's fault hence he has copped a lot of stick here. Then (apparently) it was the decision to assign the match to Wayne. Then the decison to stop touch judges advising the ref. Current favourite for where the blame lies is the law makers, who apparently are killing the game as a spectacle. Only the All Blacks play entertaining rugby you see, hence it is obvious the rules should be changed to let this style also win games. Personally I have never thought of rugby as a good spectator sport, it's better to play it ! Having said that, going to watch international games at Twickers (after playing a morning game) always made for a good day out - but maybe this was due to the antics in the pub before/after the game.... Anyway, roll on 2011, I expect to have a few visitors from the UK for that.
