Posted by David Dixon A good idea to keep St Nick's stuff in the Old Boys' Club House, if they are agreeable. Just a comment on Cllr Bartlett. I recall his primary school headmistress in Harefield opining that he was her only known failure. I understand what she meant. The destruction of St Nick's did not serve the boys of Ruislip-Northwood well, despite much excellent work done at Haydon and Cllr Bartlett was a prime mover locally. Your mother's efforts and those of many parents were greatly appreciated by most of the Staff and I believe they have been proved right. Dr Watson was a staunch opponent of the proposed new dispensation but all efforts to stop it were in vain. As for where The Leader, as Cllr Bartlett was called,(What is that in German?) is now to be found, I have no information. When he lost office he became invisible. Too late! David Dixon
