Steve: Terry Dicks was MP for Hayes and Harlington for about 12 years. His majority was only 54 in the 1992 election and he did not stand again in 1997, when the seat turned decidedly Labour. He is grandfather to a lad who left Haydon two years ago for a maths degree at Oxford (proper) University. I think Terry Dicks is still alive and his real job was as a solicitor.
