Posted by John Hawley The 1969 photo is black and white and framed in black; there is a b/w of 1977 and a colour version (mounted proofs). I have no doubt that the Rugby Club can take these into safe-keeping/put on display and, no doubt, they may be borrowed for a suitable event in the future. As a matter of interest: the colour version of 1977 would have set you back £3.15 unmounted, which is £12.50 in today's terms.

By an enormous stroke of luck, Steve Robson, Deputy Head at Haydon, this week spotted the 1969 and 1977 St. Nicholas School group mounted pictures outside an office, ready for disposal;they were offered them to me when I collected the stained glass this morning. I think that this must be about the last of the items from Haydon which had connections with St. Nicholas G.S. I was pleased to learn from John Quillfeldt, that the box of St. Nicholas "goodies" (photos, programmes etc.), at one time offered to me, was collected for safe-keeping by Gerald Miller; in that box was the flag displayed at the reunion.
