An interesting conversation happened the other day with ex-Snobmaster Roger Lewis (now working for the Inland Revenue). He reported a conversation with Leslie Shearn (Acting Head 1975-77) who told him of a mix up with the plans when the school was built and that the main entrance had been due to be on Norwich Road (you may recall that the postal address was for Norwich Road, rather than Wiltshire Lane). Roger recalls how he was lead through the workshops by Bob Armstrong on the day of his interview in 1973. The story first related may be apocryphal, but it may just account for the slightly strange orientation of the buildings and facilities.Interesting to speculate what the building/site might have looked like! Mr Shearn and his wife currently reside in Chichester.
