Nice to hear from you John (or should that be Mr Hawley!). Michael informed me of this website and I thought it's about time I replied.
I suppose strictly speaking I don't qualify as a SNOB as I attended Haydon School from 1977 to 1982.
On leaving school I briefly worked at Midland Bank in Chelsea, where a colleague was Ian Akers, a former St. Nicks pupil in my brother's year.I now work at National Statistics in central London, after a stint in the DTI, involved in dissemination of key macro-economic statistics, here yet another ex-St. Nicks pupil, Robert Gadsby worked (now I believe at ECB in Frankfurt).
I currently live in Aylesbury, Bucks, but contemplating a move to South London (commuting just too much !) Still play squash though not as often as I should.
Hope you find this info interesting. It would be great to hear what you've been doing since early 1980's. I wonder have you heard from anyone of 1st year 1977 (i.e. first year of Comprehensives.)
Please reply to email: rob.knight@ons.gsi.gov.uk
Cheers !
Rob
