A lot of people here dislike his art style. That seems to be normal WHEREVER you go on the internet. A Newsarama thread that was supposed to be about Ty Templeton erupted in a debate about Bobillo once fans saw his pencils for Howard the Duck.
But here is the funny thing about Bobillo. All the people who loved Paul Pelettier also hated the writing. They all believed that superhero comics were bad and that Dan Slott was making a "joke" of the She-Hulk. Same thing for whats-his-name who pencilled the Starfox trial issues. The guys who loved his artwork hated Dan Slott's writing. While a few people who complained about Rick Burchette's artwork were Dan Slott fans, most of them disliked the writing.
Now when Juan Bobillo LEFT, something happened which did not happen with any other artist. There were FANS of Bobillo---some of whom bitterly argued with the posters here who questioned Marvel's judgement in hiring Bobillo---who were dropping the book SOLELY BECAUSE HE WAS NOT WRITING IT. That did not happen with any other artist. I cannot think of a single example where fans of Dan Slott's writing dropped the book just because they felt only a particular artist should draw it.

: If the book did NOT last, people would not
: be cheering on PAD's debut, debating the
: Slott run or any of that. You'd see posts
: saying, "Oh man, I wish there was a
: She-Hulk being published", "When
: will we see a new solo She-Hulk book?",
: "Who would be your ideal She-Hulk
: creative team?", "Why is Marvel
: disrespecting She-Hulk?".
:
: This is a VERY tight market, more so for
: the secondary characters. Again, to make a
: second stringer last in 2007 takes more then
: it did in the 70's or 80's; you've got to
: fight like hell for that audience, and that
: audience is very nitpicky.
