I was unaware you were the only person capable of making a book She-Hulk with "rock solid" sales.
It would take a simpering idiot not to realise that, yes - having a solo title raises a characters profile and I don't doubt that She-Hulk would probably be in the doldrums if it hadn't been for her new title under your direction.
Naturally, I appreciate the fact that She-Hulk isn't "off" the map but that hardly means I have to like the direction you took the title in. You wrote some great stuff but the tone of the book along with the fairly consistently dismal art meant that it was never going to win more over.
So, all in all - I respect your work on the title and am glad that you ensured the title managed to stay afloat until PAD came along. You did what you set out to do and you managed to win over a fair number of fans. If I'd liked the humour and found it genuinely amusing, my feelings might be different but it was always too obvious/contrived or too meta for me - which are probably the easiest way to irritate me.
So, all in all, it's fair to say that me regarding your run as not what I wanted was written in stone long ago and that it's not - and never has been - anything personal. Besides, what do you care - you get to go and write Spiderman.
Never much cared for him either...
