Van Lente made some comments recently on CBR's forums that got me thinking he may picking up this ball.
Q: Will Thundra appear in this series?
FVL: Yes!
Q: Also, will Jennifer appear throughout the mini or will she just be stopping in for a single issue appearance?
FVL: Any book with the words "She-Hulk" in the title should have Jennifer Walters playing a fairly significant role, don't you think?
Q: I'm looking forward to this series, and I hope it leads to more Thundra, but I'm undecided on her daughter.
FVL: I hope you enjoy it! Even if you don't, it will definitely lead to more Thundra in the future.
Q: Well, now that we know her mother will appear in the mini - will her father?
FVL: Sort of.
Q: Will the Red Hulk's alliance with Thundra be dealt with in this series?
FVL: Not in this first storyline, no.
Q: Are there plans for Lyra beyond this mini?
FVL: Oh, yes.
Q: Are you going to be involved in writing with whatever's coming up next for her?
FVL: Yes, I am.
Q: Any chance Lyra will be getting a more original costume that isn't a cheap Thundra knock off, Fred?
FVL: You mean one that doesn't look like it came out of the original "Rollerball"? Hell, yes, if I have anything to say about it.
So with Van Lente already attached to future work beyond this mini with Lyra and Thundra, and a prominant role for Jen in this mini... couple that with the announcement that there are some plans with Jen in the wings - sounds likely the're all the same project.

: Hmmm---so maybe we need to appeal to Mr. Loeb.
: Maybe he could use She-Hulk and the Lady
: Liberators in a bigger way. I would love to
: see them get their own series handled by
: PAD.

: "Next, a fan asked about the status of

: that the “Savage She-Hulk” series would be

: fans should look to writer Jeph Loeb’s
: current run on “Hulk.” There are plans for
