OK... so... How long has it been? 3 years? All I can say is... relief. I spent about a minute sighing once I finished this.
Really, nothing is worth that long a wait... and the while I'm not going to compare the man to the loathsome Kevin "Let's make Blackcat a rape victim" Smith.
I will however say, the man clearly doesn't like writing action and y'know, Watchmen had precious little of that and is considered the best graphic novel of all time - but this was hyped crazy as a big bad ass battle of bad asses. It was not.
Betty's involvement in #6 isn't shown in the preview because it's about... two more pages and a double spread. No TF, just her tossing wolverine through a wall before his fanboy powers kick in and he apparently INSTANTLY schools her. It's kind of embarrassing and it really feels like her power level has been nerfed from last time. So, that was disappointing - Fury intimates that they're trying to reverse engineer it though... but does that make sense, couldn't they just ask Jen?
Anyway, it's ok... but... it's hard to really enthuse over it.
