First, a disclaimer: I have not yet read this issue, so I'm going on heresay based on what others have said. However, to me, it seems as if they are leaving Betty's fate open. Just because they are trying to reverse-engineer Betty Ross' powers does not necessarily mean they succeed. So I would not be shocked if we see Betty Ross as Ultimate She-Hulk again sometime in the future...
