: And JENNIFER is the Savage She-Hulk, not
: Lyra, I don't care WHAT you or Marvel say...
Jennifer *was* the Savage She-Hulk. But, guess what--more than one character can have the same name!
There have been at least 4 "Captain America"s over the years.
There have been 5 "Captain Marvels" (and that is just counting the ones in the Marvel Universe).
Three "Ms Marvel"s. Three "Ant-Man"s. Two "Power Man"s. 4 "Goliath"s. 2 "Human Torch"s. Etc, etc.
Jennifer is the original She-Hulk. She is probably most people's favourite She-Hulk. But there is nothing unfair or invalid about Marvel letting another character use the name (and, I have yet to see Lyra actually use the name herself on-panel...).
: ...and that was NOT a Spider-Man miniseries.
: That was NOT Spider Man... just like that
: was NOT Hawkeye, Ms Marvel, or Wolverine.
The characters in those books are not the true/original characters to use those names...but, technically, it IS a Spider-Man miniseries when it says "Spider-Man" in the title...
: Furthermore... if those "books"
: were written as well as Captain America was,
: maybe it wouldn't irk so much of us as much.
That is a very subjective issue, which largely boils down to personal taste...
: Sorry for filling in the blanks, but when
: the book pisses you off this much, you don't
: want to read it... so you can't help but not
: have all the facts.
That may be true...but in that case, don't go making up facts to fill in for the ones you don't have.
: And I believe you're
: right about that last part... especially
: when long-term fans of the girl who stuck it
: out finally get tired of waiting for her and
: start dropping the book.
Dropping WHAT book? You're talking as if there is some ongoing She-Hulk series that either Lyra or Red-She-Hulk has "stolen" from Jen. The only SHE-HULK series at the moment is a 3-issue miniseries (which means that readers "dropping"
it isn't a real concern...the book ends in two months anyway), which is featuring all three female Hulk characters. So if readers drop that one, they are dropping a book *with* Jen in it.
The other books that Lyra and Red-She-Hulk are appearing in are HULK books--not *SHE*-Hulk books. They are guest stars/supporting players there, just as Jen was/is, and just as Rick Jones, Skaar, Betty Ross, etc, are.
If you want to drop HULK because Jen isn't appearing there--that is entirely fair (the only reason I ever pick up a HULK book is for the guest stars or supporting cast myself)...just keep in mind that the writers aren't under any obligation to have Jen appearing in the HULK book, because it isn't *her* book.
