Clearly we agree on Dan Slott... so no need for further discourse there.
PAD... I get the impression (from what is written) that the title is telegraphing the mood... and I'm pretty sure Wheezy was in some of the preview art, so Sensational in more than just name... and to be honest, love or hate Byrne's 4th wall breaking take on her - I really can't see any way she'd be AS popular or AS well known without him. Yes, it was all crazy stuff and She-Hulk was basically just a green skinned 80s fitness model (WITH UBER 80s hair) but it sold a lot better than any other of her runs and I think you can see sales drop off as soon as Byrne left the title... so... that was an aside.
Anyway, PAD should have stuck to his guns... but as I've said - She-Hulk fans are very selfish creatures. As I said, I had my ISSUES with Slott but that didn't make me throw my toys out the pram because he wasn't writing MY She-Hulk...
A friend described She-Hulk fandom as "toxic"... I can't blame him. All this unpleasantness about Lyra and She-Rulk and maybe killing She-Hulk etc. etc. People take it all SO personally - it's not like they ret-conned her out of existence or had her make a deal with Satan... really, don't suggest Marvel can't #### something up more... THEY CAN.
But really, as pointed out by others... superhero titles are regularly passed around... although, I find it ironic Lyra would get "savage" as she kinda... has to be calm... which I think is a good schtick for her. I really don't see her as trying to "steal" Jen's position and I would also like to see them partnered... I'm just guessing but I assume that Lyra is aware of Jen's heroism through her mother and personal experience... and she probably had time to check stuff... green skinned girls have to stick together.
That brings me back to She-Hulk's ol' pal Jazinda... I'd like to see her come back. I liked her as a character... I suppose that was one of the issues of PAD getting cut a bit short, was that he didn't REALLY get a full opportunity to explore the relationship with her and Jen. Eh, just a lotta stuff that's going to be forgotten continuity really... but then, that kind of always happened with She-Hulk, almost always just a quippy brawler... add sleep around sue as required.
