: priortity... because Marvel hate women.
Huh? How can anyone figure that Marvel hates women? They employ various women in their company, and their books and movies feature plenty of women characters.
To suggest that Marvel, as an organization, hates women is pretty silly--unless you can show me some official Marvel policy against women. To suggest that a specific person or people who work for Marvel has a problem with women is more plausible...but still a pretty serious accusation to make without firm proof.
: In their YEAR OF WOMEN - they've got, what ONE
: female solo title...
At least two solicited thus far (BLACK WIDOW and SPIDER-GIRL). They also have at least one book that is a female co-lead (HAWKEYE & MOCKINGBIRD). There are several miniseries this year starring women (BLACK WIDOW, PIXIE, HERALDS, SHE-HULKS, etc), and several one-shots spotlighting women characters (SHE-HULK, DAZZLER, SIF, etc). Thew female NOMAD just recently had a mini, and currently has a regular solo back-up feature in the Captain America series.
And that's not counting all of the women characters in the various team books...
: Marvel doesn't CARE
: about anything more than the young male
: demographic
That is clearly and obviously false, given the number of books they have done in recent years aimed at other demographics.
Obviously the young straight male demographic will remain their primary focus--as it should, since it is their core audience. But you can't say they don't care about anything else when they continue to make products aimed at other audiences.
