A while back When DC announced the direction of the Hawkman title changing to Hawkgirl I wrote that this would be a very big mistake for DC and looking back at how it was done I can honestly say I was right!
The Sales numbers for Oct, are in and Hawkgirl does'int even crack the top 100. how sad is that!!
why did DC do such as stupid move? The art went from World Class to plain crap! and the story has just dragged on with no real end in sight except for Hawkmans return. I really dont understand why they had to make this switch in direction and teams? I knew the Hawkgirl character was not solid enough for her own title and the sales shows that it was a bad move. If DC wanted to make the B-list characters take a bigger role after the Crisis then this was their oppertunity to do so with Hawkman. Instead they dropped the ball and made bad disscions based on what seemed to be a Cartoon- driven ideal that Hawkgirl would work based off her exposer form the Justic League cartoon. How Freaken SAD!
Ok so now I bet the Book gets Cancelled and we have to wait for another number One to come out or they do a Whole REVAMP a la Aquaman...( and he isint doing that good either..) So to those masterminds at DC please dont be stupid and actully listen to what the fans what and bring Back HAWKMAN!!!
