Did anyone ever compare sales of the Stern Starman to its successor? Allowing for each being published in separate eras, is there any way of determining which was more successful? The last Starman series does FEEL more successful but that's going by the subjective guide of industry accolades and a cult following. The truth is that the current Manhunter feels that way if you didn't know about sales. I'm just wondering if the book was a commercial failure and just kept on the books for the perceived prestige it gave the company.
