I was very suprised I didn't know him, but if he's more Pre-Crisis that makes sense (I'm a master of no comic universe but a jack of both Marvel and DC :-P ) Anyway, the basic point is cheers for that :-) James. --Previous Message--

Thanks for that (I'm a little suprised he HASN'T been used more post-Crisis though, it's not like he's the only mutant in the DCU or Marvel have legal right to the word!)
: He's the first comicbook mutant, born with
: abilities that man will become, although,
: post-crisis, he's been seen just briefly in
: cameos, probably to keep his copywrite
: status. He retains energy and burns it off
: when he flies creating a comet's trail,
: hence the name. He had mental powers
: pre-crisis, don't know if that is the same.
: His gun is devastatingly powerful in that it
: can create any effect on others, but the
: catch is it does the same to the shooter.
:
: He's done a stint in the JL at some point.

: Definitely! :-D, whilst I thought Gibbons
: worte Kyle as far too naive in #1 and,
: honestly, to like Hal in #2 I felt that he
: hit the right balance with Kyle in #3 :-)
:
: Adam Strange has been cool since his mini, I
: also LIVE seeing some Thanagarians (they've
: had so many home planets destroyed you have
: to feel sorry for them!) and, in particular,
: seeing Blackfire again is cool :-D
:
: Vril Dox's cameo was good to, as has
: Kilwog's been . I've already said that I
: lke Shayera Thal and the same is true of
: Carter and Kendra.
:
: Indeed, captain Comet is the only thing even
: VAGUELY like a weak link to my mind (I've
: ead plenty of Green Lantern, just prior to
: and post-Crisis and I'd never heard of the
: man, he seems remarkably obscure for this
: title!)
:
: Cheers.

: Green Lantern, Adam Strange, many different
: planets and races involved. It is cool.
: :-)
:
: Had to do some brush up on Captain Comet and
: some of the others. :-)

: Only that I agree with you, it has been
: consistantly the best, superb art and a
: well-structured mini (unlike the other
: Countdown tie-ins, I don't personally think
: it's had a weak issue!)
:
: I'm also thrilled to see Sheira Thal,
: Hawkwoman in #3, and I hope she survives the
: issue, but the cover to #5 and #6 suggests
: that's unlikely.
:
: Cheers.
:
: James.

: It seems like it is the best of these
: limited
: series.
:
: Anyone have any thoughts on it?
