Posted by crawl on 8/15/2005, 8:31 pm I have seen many web sites with collections of images that contain a notice similar to the following: If you find an image that belongs to you and you do not want it displayed here, send me an e-mail and I'll remove it immediately. That may be a pleasant statement, but it shows a serious misunderstanding of copyright law. The law requires that the author of a web site, book, etc. ask permission of the copyright owner before displaying any copyrighted work. The burden is on the copier to ask permission. It is not the duty of the copyright owner to cruise the Internet and ask authors to stop infringing a copyright. In fact, the copyright owner can file copyright infringement litigation immediately on discovering the unauthorized use of copyrighted material. there is more on this copyrigth laws if you would like to see them i would be glad to email them to you. as i see it all the ppl that have used your pic and you said they are wrong for using them on there tc pages. well you are in the wrong for displaying a pic of a copyright owner with out there permission as well. thank you for your time crawl

in your response to cases/myleague users not being allowed to use you pic in there tc's i think is wrong just cause there is an advirtisment on the page. in some of the tc page there is now ads on them. some they are. i know a lot of ppl that likes using the pic you have on your site for there tc pages and has broken many hearts cause they are now not alowded to us them cause of someone elses ads. that is not fair and you also mintioned that it is the copy right law for that...well to let you know since i had seen you post i also looked up the copy right laws for the internet and this laws for that is nothing like what you said. i found in this laws that you have also misused some of the pic on your site. there is a law that says if the pic you want and dont know the owner of it they you are not allowed to use it till you can find the owner of that pic. let me show you what i found and what it says about that:
