Buon giorno, Sylvan! I was there last night when you and two other members of your coven presented, and I really enjoyed myself. (BTW: I am the one who sat down next to you in the hallway while the meeting was still going on and said that I hate Pagan Standard Time)...
Anyhoo, there was one question that I did not get the chance to ask you guys, and that is, you all seemed really personable, and I wanted to know how much time you all spend hanging out with people from other traditions than Wicca? As I said last night, I am an Etruscan Revivalist, so I spend a lot of time alone because no one else does what I do--literally. There are times when I crave the company (conversations and such) with other people who are at least similar to me (my current S.O. is an atheist, and everyone else I know is either Christian or Asatru and mostly sort of hang with each other) personality-wise, which you three seemed to be.
I know we may not speak the exact same language as you guys are Gardnerians and I'm not, but I really liked what you had to say. I'm not looking to become Gardnerian because the Gods and Goddesses of my ancestors have called me, but it would sure be great to get to know some more folks around here who are pagan and closer to my own age.
I *do* plan to go to the mixer at Evenstar tonight, since it is right down the street from me, but don't tend to do well in crowds unless someone else initiates conversation with me. : (
Anyway, I've rambled on long enough. Oh! I did want to tell you that last night you looked very familiar to me, and now I remember why: in 2002, I moved back to the Cities temporarily and marched with you and some others in the GLBT parade. I've been back permanently for just over a year now, and am really looking to "hook in" to the community down here.
