Posted by Jewel on January 8, 2006, 9:32 pm, in reply to "wiccan advice needed" Here's my stance: 'Wicca' in most writings I've read is a religion with a doctrine and order of things. It's a fabulous philosophy and I would never talk it down. However, when you take parts of philosophy you feel towards and not others, you are no longer following a doctrine, rather your own path. I will tell you I am a witch, and I practice a craft. I take spirituality seriously, study, listen to what my soul tells me, and then my craft brings me back as a part of the world and otherworlds as a whole and not just in it. So yes, I allow myself to be influenced by Jehovah, and Jesus Christ. But to me, "God" is everywhere, in everything, so what if I want to call say that spirit is in me, or call it by any other names? The Hebrew word for God is plural. It's a trip to read the bible (which I have in its entirety) substituting "they" for "Him". Our concept of God is something we'll never all agree on and probably never understand, anyways. Maybe we're not supposed to. I can philosophize, but its something you need to do for yoursef. This is a long answer, but I felt I needed to defend myself in advance. Cheers! And remember: we cannot see if our eyes are closed. PS This is my first post on this board, so hello everyone! I hope to get to know you, my soul is dying and wants some company in my walk

Here is what I would suggest although I would offer that I'm not a historian or expert, but rather one in your same position for the past 9 of my 21 years. Some will wholeheartedly disagree with me, but isn't the whole point of the practice to do what you believe and what your spirit says is true? ![]()
