"extremely confusing" comes to mind (if asked). If you choose to want/desire to continue to practice a x-ian "bent" .. religiously .. then I'd say go ahead. To ME .. there is a HUGE difference between the way that "spirituality" is practiced between Wiccan/X-ians. And .. let's not forget the whole monotheistic/polytheistic differences as well. How can the two be "mixed" ? Just curious. I think it is wrong .. to try and mix two obviously different religious groups .. ya know ? But .. you can believe what you WANT TO .. eeh ? I just don't believe there is such a thing as a "x-ian Witch/Wiccan" .. even if some others DO (believe it). *shrugs* Oh well ..

: It's hard to say; I know that there are
: several folk out there who practice a
: combination of Wiccan and Christian beliefs
: but -then again- there are always some
: discrepancies ... the person ends up
: following their own way and neither of the
: other two. For example, one common element
: to all Traditions of Wicca -a very deeply
: held conviction- is that there is no such
: thing as "divinely mandated
: 'sin'". In Christianity, its lessons
: and ethos are all based upon the concept of
: sin and salvation. Wicca is not a
: salvationist faith.
:
: But this does not mean you cannot practice
: elements of both. It's just very difficult
: to reconcile the differences.
:
: Does that help put it all in perspective?
: That's just one example...

: I am both interested in the historical and
: present day activities of the wicca beliefs.
: I have a simple question. Is it wrong to
: practice the ways of wicca in my every day
: life and still have strong beliefs in the
: christian religion that I was raised in from
: infantcy? I ask this question only out of
: curiosity and with no negative intentions
: meant. I thank you for your input. ![]()
