Many peope beleive it is spirits i wont say it definatly is but if it is, it is probaby a member of the persons family upset that they are not involved in there life any more spirits who do this are called poltergysts and are potentaly dangerouse id get the house blessed by a chritian preist or a fully practiced witch, hope i could help sorry bout the spellings in a rush
