Directions
In order for me to help you, I ask that you first provide me with your full name and the course and section number of the course you are taking at TNCC. I also need to know the Chapter and section number that you are currently working on and the number of the problem if it is one from the book.

If you are familiar with a TI-83 calculator then type your question the same way you would type things in to a TI-83.
Use parentheses around the numerator and another set around the denominator of a fraction. ex. (x+4)/(x-8)
Use ^ for exponents. ex. x^2 for x squared
Use sqrt(x-3) for the square root of (x-3).
