Hey Guys...been a diesel nut my whole life and am thinking of getting into something else (Mini-Rod) not really wanting to go to a gasser...I have found a class that will probably let me run with there gasser class (NA, any V8 up to 500cu)if I run a 4cyl. Doing a lot of research and think a 3.9L 4BT Cummins (The 5.9's little brother) With the P-pump and enough air from a single I will be in the 5-600 hp range.
Just wondering if you think I am totally out of my mind or if it would be worth the risk of trying it out. This would be a custom chassis to fit the engine. Weight is 700lbs with fluids and the block is 22" long. where a 5.9 is 31" long and just pushing 1000lbs. The class I would run in is 2200lbs and the only tire we can run is an 18.4x 16.1
