hi mate never changed a speedfight belt but done gilera and suzuki,s
start by taking of the side cover and kickstart assy, make sure you keep all the bolts safe.
You will then have to remove the variator, tricky if you aint got a locking tool, I have always manged to lock the front cog with big screw drived against the casing, use a socket and a rachet bar to spin of the front nut, the variator will then come of the crank shaft, make sure you note the order inwhich the bits come to pieces take yur time and dont rush, you should oonly have to remove the front thrust plate and cooling fins. slip the belt over the rear clutch then over the front drive shaft, you may have to compress the rear clutch assy to get enough slack inthe belt, again take your time.. once the belt is on both ends ie over the drive shaft and on the rear clutch ass put the whole thing back togther again.. carefully, when you put the front drive shaft nut back on lock the crank the same way you did when you took it off it is an idea to use some loctite on the nut.
MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT DISTRUB THE ELECTRIC START GEAR IF YOU DO MAKE SURE YOU PUT IT ALL BACK IN SITU, start the bike on the button and check the variator moves in and out and the bike climbs the gears as you throttle it, watch you fingers.
when you are happy put the whole thing back togehter again.
take it for a run,
when you have your variator of it may be an idea to check your rollers they may have squared of hence the reving engine and no drive at the rear.
good luck
martin
