This work was done by a dealer - I can confirm that behind the variator is a washer that restricts maximum revs -this means removal of the variator removing the washer and reassemling -this requires a special tool to hold the variator still while the central nut is removed , the second mod refers to late model ET4 motors as fitted to the 4t zip - there is a rev limiter built into the HV block and a small cut is made into the block to disconnect a internal connection -it is then resealed -definately a job for an expert! .
The two mods lifted the top speed from 50k to 70k and a fraction more torque at lower speeds ,
The bike still feels like a 50 !
