I don't know if you've already tried to get help from a community legal clinic but I forwarded this info to a contact at the Scarborough one.
I'll do my best to come out to the hearing just for moral support. This is an outrage!

: The Landlord & Tenant Board in Scarborough
: intends to set a new precedent under the
: Residential & Tenancies Act (2006) on
: November 19, 2008 and under TEL-16436 by
: evicting a sole support single parent and
: child from a rent-geared-to-income TCHC unit
: upon the grounds of running a Tenant
: Association for the past 6 years, which is a
: legal activity.
:
: While the real issue is the fact that our
: contract management buildings are likely
: beyond structural viability, the City
: apparently believe the benefits of breaching
: the RTA (2006) outweigh the consequences,
: particularly when our family is perceived as
: an impediment and/or liability towards their
: phased closure of both buildings, which
: consist of 225 family units of
: TCHC/RPDC/COTA/Market Rent tenants.
:
: While we have had a Serious Medical Transfer
: pending on MTHA letterhead since Nov 13/03
: due to asthma and allergies caused by
: exposure to the Stachybotrus, Aspergillus
: and Penicillium moulds, etc., identified in
: both buildings by 3 separate environmental
: engineering reports from 2003-05, the City
: has advised us that they will only honour
: our medical transfer to another RGI unit if
: we are able to successfully defend our
: existing RGI unit against the eviction next
: month, despite our total lack of legal
: representation after 2 1/2 months attempting
: to resource a law firm/paralegal willing to
: represent our family on a Legal Aid Ontario
: certificate.
:
: We are therefore asking the FMTA and other
: tenant associations and/or tenants reading
: this posting to consider the future impact
: upon their own homes and tenant groups if
: the leader of any tenant association can be
: evicted for advocating tenant rights and
: minimal property standards in accordance
: with the City of Toronto.
:
: We are therefore inviting everyone to attend
: our upcoming Eviction on Nov 19/08 at 9:30
: am to witness this new RTA (2006) precedent

: representation and/or any other resources we
: may have overlooked in our rushed efforts to
: avoid homelessness, please feel free to
