Smart Meters

Dear Fellow Tenants Like you I received a copy of a Toronto Star article regarding “Smart Meters” and the Ontario Energy Board. After doing some of my own digging and asking Councilor Brian Ashton to do the same, I received the attached email sent to Councilor Ashton from a Mr. Gord Baird of Toronto Hydro. As far as my hunt for answers, I was able to find the following. • Stratacon Inc. was issued a Smart Sub-Metering License # ES-2007-0948 by the OEB for condominiums. NOT residential. • Stratacon Inc. is aware of the OEB Bulletin and is NOT to be billing from this point on. • Stratacon Inc. informs me its “Business as usual” yet the OEB Bulletin applies. • Park Property informs me its “Business as usual” yet the OEB Bulletin applies. • We all need to call the hotline and make a complaint 416-314-2455. The question that still remains is do we still have to pay? I am still digging for that answer. If you know let us know.
