Together we are strong!

Mea culpa...I announced that this Board would be soon shifting to a new format with our new web site.
The new Board has not yet been activated as I have not been able to arrange a training session on how to moderate it. I am not the most internet savvy person around - but working on it.
Got the whiz kids coming in next week to teach the old dog a new trick or two.
We will "launch" the new format some time after that. As I understand it, this Board's archive will remain up for a while.
The new Board will look and be different. However, one thing will remain the same. It will be a clean Board, free of slagging and personal attacks. I am disgusted by the personal crap I see on other boards.
This will continue to be a place for tenants to dialogue, to discuss problems, and seek information and post information. Even the worst landlords will not be named personally, and name calling and bigotry will not be permitted. If something slips by these not so eagle eyes, please let me know right away and it will be removed.
Free speech is a limited right. It comes with responsibility. There is far too much irresponsibility on the internet, particularly by people hiding in anonymity.
Together, we will seek to improve the lives of tenants through reasoned argument and democratic activity and good information. Insulting people is not only un civil, but it doesn't work any way. Just makes the insulter look bad.
And maybe we will have a little fun some times too. I am hoping to do some polls on the new Board.
Stay tuned - more to come.
Together we are strong.
