As a fair minded advocate, I do have to tell you that your landlord is within thier rights. 24 hour notice is all that is required by the Act, and you have negotiated 48 more hours. Bed bugs are a serious problem and must be dealt with quickly and properly. Lets hope things are back to normal for you quickly, and good luck on the job hunt
I made an inquiry as to why your tv might have to be taken down. Sometimes the bed bugs do climb the walls, but perhaps you could discuss spraying behind the set without having to remove it.

: I live in an apartment over a store. This
: morning my landlord gave me 24 hours notice
: to prepare for bed bug treatment. She said
: there are other apartments nearby that have
: infestations of bedbugs and she wants to
: make sure my apartment is safe. I have lots
: of posters and a bulletin board and my big
: screen tv hooked up to the walls and she
: said I will have to move them. I am looking
: for a new job and don't want to be away from
: the phone for the afternoon while they spray
: or whatever. Lastly, I asked her if she
: could supply me with a storage bin or
: somewhere to lock my things up. She said
: they could delay 72 hours but they have to
: spray this week. She refused the storage bin
: and said the hall will be locked and I can
: leave my junk in the hall while they spray.
: I told her this is unacceptable to me and
: she said that if I don't allow the spray
: I'll be responsible if there are bedbugs in
: the future and I'll have to pay for the
: spraying.
:
: My question is do I have to let them spray?
: Because this is a major inconvenience for me
: shouldn't a good landlord at least move my
: furniture and belongings for me and give me
: at least a month? You seem like a fair group
: and I think my landlord isn't being
: reasonable to me. What should I do? Can I
: refuse entry to get her to become a little
: more reasonable?
