Does FMTA have any programs for providing RTA information to schools and universities for transmission to students? The reason I ask is that I had lunch with a friend yesterday who told me that in her building, apartment contents (including wrecked computers) are dumped out in the street at least once a month. When I said that that was ILLEGAL, she said that many tenants are students, young and in a big city for the first time, and they know NOTHING about their rights.
The most efficient way to get information to students would be through the universites -- does FMTA have a program for this? If not, are there volunteers who would be interested?
Mod. Note - We have a great relationship with the University of Toronto. Our stuff is all through their housing office, and we do several workshops and events with them every year.
We usually get to York and Ryerson maybe once a year, and we are working on doing more. Same with community colleges.
