If you insist, yout landlord is required by law to give you a specific day. Check the notice just in case a day hasn't already been specified for your unit.
I am a landlord and a tenant. I always give a specific day and time range of 2 hours or less when I enter a tenant's unit. This adheres to the law and is courteous.
As a tenant, if I got the notice you got and it wasn't a problem for me I wouldn't pick this battle. If you have a reason why you want a specific day, advise them. You are not required by law to do so but it will help illustrate to your landlord why the notice is flawed. It will also demonstrate that you are not being petty or difficult or simply using it as an opportunity to exercise your rights.
