Awful credit and in desperate need of an apartment

Hi there, I need advice. I just got out of a really bad relationship where the man I was with really took my credit through the ringer. I have a great job with a good salary, and good references from landlords but I don't have a co-signer. I also have no credit cards and no access to loans. I am really feeling anxious as to where I'll live next month as I've in sublets since I left this guy in June. Suffice to say...I need help. Does anyone have suggestions for me? Do you know of any good places in Toronto that are more flexible? I currently live in a sublet at Church and Wellesley and really love it there, but I'm open to anywhere at this point.
