I bid hard and went as high as $800.00 but I landed it for $660. Good deal.
Only about eight Indians to go but one is the 09S. The 1877 was a psychological barrier for me. Didn't seem like they should be THAT valuable. So, I've overcome it. I can live with the expense of the 09S Indian because I expected that.
Off to the safe deposit box when it comes.
You realize, of course, having all the Lincolns and Indians will only cause me to want all of the Larges and from the sound of things, you're on your way. Hey! It's a better investment than anything I can think of, although a very wealthy friend tells me that the best investment of ALL is true Deco diamond bracelets. Says there's always someone around who'll pay anything for a good one. Imagine that? I can't imagine wanting one.
By the way: Bought an 1802 Large in OK shape recently :-)
