I absolutely loved the pairing. This was one of the things which really showed Annihilation was "enriching" (no pun intended)Rich as a character. He was a leader in war and getting a little action on the side. War makes strange bed fellows, but Gamora is not strange. When I purchased the first Annihilation, flipped through it and saw Rich and Gamora in bed, I said "oh my! This book is going to be different!" I like my heroes to have significant relationships (Bruce and Betty, Sue and Reed, Stark and Bethany Cabe, Peter and MJ, etc). In my opinion, this gives the characters depth and allows me, a sentimenatal guy and a man who has been married for 17 years, to better connect with them.
: Absolutely ! I thought it was pretty cool and
: would like to see it continue at least for
: awhile. I think Gamora could help Rich
: continue to develp as a character by
: teaching him alot about strategy and
: cunning. She could help him become more
: dangerous !

: I really liked the Nova/Gamora pair-up in
: ANNIHILATION and hope to see more of it in
: Nova's book, especially since I like
: Giffen's Gamora revamp. Fortunately, Abnett
: and Lanning do indeed have plans for Gamora.
: Did anyone else like the Nova/Gamora pair
: up?
