"I pulled him inside out and saved the universe. What have you done lately, Tony?"

I found Tony to be pretty dismissive of this "border skirmish war." He didn't even have a "Whoa, really" type moment. It was like
all he cared about was his own little Civil War. And he tried to use acknowledgment of Rich's experience to coax him into the Initiative.
I loved Rich's respect for his elders calling Tony "Mr. Stark" even after they were on a first name basis. It shows his good upbringing and his new military standing. He introduced himself as Richard Rider, Nova 1124 9-44396, his military designation. Rich is serious about representing the Nova Corp.
I was happy when he told Tony never to bring attack squadron to his parents' house again, ever. Lovely.
Diamondhead, that was a surprise I did not see coming. Did any of you notice Rich's initial fear of Diamondhead when he first noticed him? I
loved it. His old beatings from DH sparked the resurgence of fear. Then he remembered who he was, and took care of business. DH had no chance at all. I don't think DH will bother Rich anymore. Nova shattered him in the last series, but that took work. This time, it was easy to humble DH.
I too was happy Rich did not bounce on Tony. I loved the fact that Tony recognized Nova and then tried the soft sale. This, again, also
showed Rich's respect for other heroes, no matter what has happened. Rich did not like the fact that the heroes were on Earth fighting each
other. So he would not readily fight Iron Man. But the previews of next issue shows he has no choice in fighting the T'bolts.
I do believe that once Rich decides to defend himself, the T'bolts will go down easily.
Finally, who did not love "I pulled him inside out and saved the universe. What have you done lately, Tony?" Wow! I think a number of us mentioned we wanted him to say something like this to Tony. It
seems DnA has been listening to us, or they are at least in tune with the fans. I loved it. I can't wait until the next issue.
We can all see that this is the "you can't go home again" scenario. Rich's father acts as if he doesn't want him around. Blood thirsty
villains are working for the government to arrest heroes. And villains are attempting to find Rich at his parents' home. Rich knows he cannot
stick around and get his parents hurt. They will probably be placed under Shield protection just before Rich leaves Earth. And the T'bolts
arresting the heroes - a last straw scenario. Rich wants no part of this new world order.
I am in it for the looooooooonggggg hall.

I am glad Nova is interacting with the rest of the Marvel Universe. DnA mentioned that he would no longer be relegated to the background when Marvel has big events. I know some of us were not happy when we found out Rich would be partially participating in the Civil War. But look at the very bright side. Rich is participating in the big sand box, now.
