Personally, I wouldn't want to see Rich on any team right now. As much as I loved his time with the New Warriors, I think he's outgrown them at this point.
As for the Avengers, unless he was the leader, I can't see him fitting in well given his role in Annihilation. Plus, (and this is just personal opinion) I'm not interested in see Bendis write Nova. I know a lot of people like his work but it just hasn't ever been for me.
If he were going to be part of a group, I'd prefer to see him lead a new Nova Corps.
