That is, if there already *is* a story you want to tell. Me, for instance, I'm surprised that people like having Rich as the only Corpsman left, because to me his membership in the Corps is the most interesting, defining part of his origin. If I were to write Nova, he'd be just one soldier in a vast corps, because that's where I see story potential. But I'm sure things are different for you. --Previous Message--

In the Worldmind's first appearance, Adora makes it clear that what makes the Worldmind unique from things like the Supreme Intelligence is that it contains *all* Xandarians. The Supreme Intelligence was just a small part of the population, the politicians and military and such, while the Worldmind is the entire dead Xandarian civilization. So there would really be a dark Worldmind in that case -- but the Worldmind as a whole isn't exactly 100% "good" either.
: I'm off on holiday in the next week so before
: I go I'd like to sorta
: know where the best way to go with my Nova
: serial as I want to get
: cracking when I return..I'm even tempted to
: illustrate the thing as
: an on-line comic..maybe. From the CBR poll
: its a tie between Rich
: staying solo, forming the Corps, or a
: forming a response team so
: depenent on which of these 3 options is the
: best depends on which way
: I go though for the record I'm sorta keen on
: a solo Rich scenario
: myself as its easier to write!
:
: However further to that: here's a few
: possible story ideas to mull
: over so let me have your thoughts on them:
: 1) Time Travel opus in which current Rich
: travels back to the days of
: the Xandar Skrull war to solve the mystery
: of Epyrus 7 and ends up
: having to tutor his younger self to be a
: better hero..oh before that
: 17 year old Rich..sorta well kicks the
: bucket causing a time
: embalism. This arc idea will explore my take
: on Xandarian culture
: during the war period.
:
: 2) Solo epics which delve further into the
: Nova as a cosmic cop kinda
: scenario set well after Conquest (or
: in-between Annihilation 6 and
: Nova 1) Arcs include finding the whereabouts
: of Drax, Brood, Drug
: Runners and the return of the Shadow
: Consortiumn. Also a aspect of
: Xandarian history that always picqued my
: curiosity. If Xandar did
: have colony worlds; where are they? And
: another thing: If the
: Xandarian Worldmind contains all the elite
: brains/memory engrams in
: its gestalt mind.where are all the
: negatives? After all Xandar could
: not be all perfect and white; is there as
: dark Worldmind out there in
: the cosmic depths? And add to this; in an
: alternatve universe Could
: Xandar have gone the other way along the
: lines as Conquerors and what
: if they decided to invade our Universe?;
: after all when the Crunch
: got ripped by Annihilus; maybe they weren't
: the only ones to emerge
: from the rip; they're a plenty more
: multiverses out there...
:
: 3) Ultimate Nova: Carry on the story from
: the fan-fic at Nova Prime
: Page as 19 year old Richard Rider having
: defeated the Ankari now has
: to face the minions of Ultimate Annihilus
:
: 4) Nova/Ko: Well two strong-headed Novas are
: better than one. And
: besides if/when Rich is cured of the T-O
: virus (or not..) Perhaps
: he'll have to decide and help Ko find her
: son..likewise anyone for
: Rich/Starlord..etc.
:
: 5) Your own ideas. Please type them in. More
: the merrier..
:
: Thanks to anyone who helps. Darren
