Awesome cover flawed only by the fact that he neither gets cured or removes his helmet. Good story; became even more sympathetic to Nova's plight. Warlock. Has always deserved B-list status with A-list potential the way he's been presented in the past. His art depiction was frustratingly not conistent (the constant flux appearance was unique but more often done fastlazy than abstractclean). Here the artist repeats the excellent attention to detail that was done on the Thing during his FF run with every panel of Warlock! Another past concern was the inconsistency of Warlock's limits from issue to issue. Here the writer wonderfully focusses the entire issue on that plot point and also truly captures Warlock's entertaining personality with the speech pattern that earnedendeared him to at least the B-list. This was an 100% effectively epic splash page: that would have been ruined by a double page spread. It did take some effectiveness away from the cliffhanger redundant splash though. Was very happy that editorial didnt go that route. Liked all of Kvch, art and history a lot. "Skut". Takes one to know one, Drax. Even Kvch thinks Gamora is a killercutie. So much so, it could just 'eat her up." The nice artist rendition display of the New Mutants was worked in well. There is real anticipation to Warlock's fate in next issue. Will Tyro replace Warlock as the Technarch to follow? Is Editorial going to really put the hit on Warlock to give the reinvented, reintroduced Warlock, in Annihilation, sole claim to the name? Or vice versa? It'd be neat/logical for Warlock to meet Adam since it's very unlikely that Kallark will meet Melvin Potter. Aaanyways, the issues have been hit or miss and #11 was a big hit!
