Yeah, I was surprised that they came right out and inferred that Rich was not as powerful as The Surfer. I agree, this would explain why the Corp always got their tails handed to them in large conflicts. I guess The Surfer is far more powerful than recent writers have written him. I could go with that explanation. But I hope Rich gives a good account of himself. I know he will.

: There's a great interview with Abnett and

: Interview was very informative on the
: approach the writer's are taking regarding
: Nova's role in this. One thing that I am a
: little bothred by is that they seem to have
: already determined that Rider is less
: powerful than the Surfer ..... sigh. Sounds
: like the same slot they put Wendell Vaughn
: (Quasar) into. If the full Nova Force isn't
: up to even the surfer's level .. then it's
: no wonder the entire Nova Corps is just used
: as a sacrificial lamb plot device. By
: implication this means the Rider may not be
: as powerful as Classic Thor, Gladiator or
: any of the herelds ... Heck .... even Ronan
: is as powerful as SoME of the heralds ....
: he defeated a skrull that was impersonating
: the Surfer ... that same skrull had defeated
: the surfer in combat. Oh well .....
